Fabrice Muamba is a former professional footballer who played primarily as a midfielder. He was born in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) on March 17, 1988. Muamba is most notably recognized for his time playing in the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Premier%20League">Premier League</a> for <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Bolton%20Wanderers">Bolton Wanderers</a>.
His career was tragically cut short in March 2012 when he suffered a <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/cardiac%20arrest">cardiac arrest</a> during an FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur. His heart stopped for 78 minutes. He remarkably survived, but on medical advice, he announced his retirement from professional football in August 2012. Since then, he has worked as a pundit and has earned a degree in sports journalism. His experience has led him to advocate for better <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/cardiac%20screening">cardiac screening</a> in sports.
